Oil on canvas; 48" x 36". Various images of Justice usually adorn state buildings related to law, with a woman whose eyes are blindfolded holding a scale. My model, young Lebanese teacher, was so beautiful I could not dear to cover her eyes. In the process, Justice for all turned into Mercy for all - big and small (a bear and a lamb finding a place of refuge by her side). For if one is looking for justice, it will be given to him. I’d rather have mercy!
