With the birth of my first child I began to uncover what ‘true love’ really means. This new emotion of motherly love was so overwhelming and powerful it sustained me through the sleepless nights and physical exhaustion that came as a part of this wonderful package - the gift from God - called “Motherhood”. Day after day I learned to strip myself of self-love in order to leave more room for others - my growing family. 25 years later: being a mother has not gotten easier, but neither has it brought less joy. As parents we learn to accept and not to control, to let go and still love those whom you can not hold  in your arms anymore.
